Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited FLTRXL 2026 Experiences and Expert Review
nopain
The Road Glide Limited 2026 is the epitome of a superior long-distance touring bike. Its character is not trimmed for dynamics, but for calm, stability and efficiency over many kilometres. The frame-mounted Sharknose fairing ensures a very neutral riding performance, especially at higher speeds. It is stoic on motorway stretches and has a full and predictable feel in long bends. The new Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117 impresses less with its top performance than with its smooth power delivery. The variable valve timing system really comes into its own when cruising too lazy to shift or when fully loaded. The Showa suspension is clearly set up for comfort. Unevenness is filtered away cleanly, even bad tarmac passages lose their terror. Despite weighing 417 kilograms wet weight, the weight is put into perspective surprisingly quickly on the move - but it demands respect when manoeuvring. With 144 litres of storage space, heated components and well thought-out ergonomics, the Road Glide Limited is a bike for riders who take long distances seriously. Emotionally restrained, functionally strong - sovereignty instead of show.

FAQ tires Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited FLTRXL
- Which tires are currently recommended by the 1000PS editorial team for this model?
Road sport tires
All-round tire for sporty road riders. Super sports bikes, naked bikes, sports tourers. Also occasional trips to the race track. However, mileage plays a role, as does a short warm-up time and performance in bad weather.
Tourer and cruiser
High mileage and cool looks are very important, wet grip is just as welcome. The focus is on touring suitability and less on sportiness.
